The general population of the Middle East doesn't want the US occupying their countries. Max rightly points out that Jordan is simply a buffer zone for Israel against other Arab states. Iran's missiles, with Russian targeting, are making US bases in the region uninhabitable. The writing is on the wall for expelling US forces from the region, having them withdraw to bases within Israel, which can still be targeted.
