Lebanon’s Government Is HELPING Israel Destroy Lebanon!?!– w/Seyed Mohammed Marandi (Jimmy Dore)

Iranian professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi argues that several Middle Eastern governments, including Lebanon's current leadership, are closely aligned with U.S. policy and therefore act in ways that undermine anti-Israel resistance movements despite Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory. He claims that Iran would require an end to Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon as a condition for any future agreement, while asserting that there is little meaningful disagreement between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu.

Marandia and Jimmy also speculate that some Israeli and pro-Israel political actors may be distancing themselves from Netanyahu because his leadership has damaged Israel's international image, while maintaining that alternative Israeli leaders would pursue similar policies. They also contend that regional governments are prioritizing geopolitical alliances and regime interests over popular sentiment, and they criticize what they view as Western and Gulf-state support for U.S. and Israeli objectives.
