The most inept dragging of feet cover-up theatre show that has ever occurred, right in the spotlight, which will do nothing to stop the release of the perpetrator names. They are already known outside of this hearing due to victim testimony. The key thing is that this is so ridiculous that it can't help but focus public attention, which might be the point. Anyone that outright goes after these pedo crooks runs into the intelligence agency connections and billion dollar money laundering - the sorts of things that get investigators/prosecutors killed. Never forget that the crooks they're talking about abuse, torture and kill children. Your life, to these people, is worth less than a cockroach. That's the ugly reality.
