'SANCTIONED w/ Rachel Blevins' Preview: Ukraine Launches Unprecedented Drone Attack Across Russia

Reports say the Trump Admin had no idea Ukraine was planning to launch an unprecedented drone attack targeting Russian bombers in military airfields across five different regions (stretching as far as Russia’s Far East), in an attack that involved smuggling drones on trucks into Russia, which took over a year to plan.

On this week’s episode of ‘SANCTIONED w/ Rachel Blevins,’ an exclusive weekly series for my paid subscribers, we look at the message this attack sends to Russia, the day before negotiators from Moscow and Kiev meet in Istanbul for talks, as well as the Trump Admin’s ongoing attempt to distance itself from the conflict while still providing weapons and support.



Initial reports of 40 destroyed aircraft may be overblown. Footage of the same airfield under attack is being replayed. The Russians will likely see this attack as evidence that the Kiev Regime is a terrorist threat to their country that requires eradication.

The answer to why the Ukrainians persist with such attacks is to demoralise the Russian people so that political pressure will be applied to Putin to end the war with a withdrawal. The fact that the Ukrainian side simply will not give up, and is prepared to target civilians, along with the military aircraft, is an intimidation ploy. In reality such attacks only underline the long running threat the Russians will face if they don't defeat the Ukrainians. The other thing they are doing is stalling for time in the hope NATO countries, that are ruled by controlled/blackmailed politicians, directly intervene in the fighting.
