Putin Won't Be Tricked - Lukashenko; Russia Set To Reject 30 Day Truce, Kiev's Kursk Agony Continues (Alexander Mercouris)

A 30 day truce only helps Ukraine. The Russians will not agree to it. What they are looking for is an end to the fighting on their terms - which guarantees their security. If they agree to a position that lets Ukraine rearm and reequip they'll likely be back at war in another 5 or 10 years. As pointed out in the comments to this video, at You Tube, there was no pause in the fighting during the Vietnam War when peace talks were underway.
