Are Fans Sick of Comic Book Movies? Or Are Fans Just Sick of Movies That SUCK? Here's the TRUTH...(Doomcock)
Hollywood loves to explain away box office failures and ratings disasters as "burnout". Comic Book Movie Burnout, Star Wars Movie Burnout, on and on, and yet is it that? Or are audiences sick and tired of movies that just plain SUCK? In this video, we examine this question!
In the history of cinema, movies, particularly when it comes to franchises, frequently bomb. It's quite difficult to get hold of a good script and put together something that will do well at the box office. Many cult movies, that we appreciate today, bombed at the box office. Most sequels to classic films bombed. Producing something that does well, even for great directors, is not guaranteed.
What's making things even more difficult, when it comes to producing something that general audiences like, is individuals working in the movie making system that are pushing a woke agenda. Their mindset tends to destroy any chance of making something appealing, and the simple hiring of these people, to hit DEI targets, often means less competent people are in the mix when it comes to the creative process. These activist minded people want to push their activist ideas in areas where it's not wanted - such as in the superhero or science fiction genre. As a result the percentage of big budget train wrecks has increased.
