Rus Defends Russians, Odessa Rus City; Medvedev: West Talks a Trap; Kiev Freaks Out US Aid Dwindles (Alexander Mercouris)

Putin explained, in a long press conference, his views on the war and the Russian objectives, which is not about territory so much as it is about their security. Russia has all the land they could ever want. The problem is that ethnic Russians were being oppressed and killed by the Ukrainians. Odessa is now firmly on the map in terms of objectives since it is essentially a Russian city. It was the site of that massacre in 2014 where anti coup protesters were murdered by Ukrainian extremists. Ukraine is now set to be almost entirely dismantled. Whatever remains of Ukraine will be under the control of Russia and operate as some sort of backwater state it seems.
