Prigozhin is likely unhinged. Even for a psy-op he's gone over-the-top. He's acting insubordinately. One thing The Duran points out is that Wagner has been on the front lines for too long. It is past time they should have been rotated out of the front. Of course more heavy artillery always helps for any armed group, which has been Prigozhin's complaint.
However, this massive public spat, with Prigozhin signaling his intention to withdraw Wagner from Bakhmut, may indeed be an attempt to funnel the Ukrainian offensive into that particular meat grinder. If could cause the Ukrainians to split their counter offensive forces. Regardless, the Ukrainians will likely need all their assembled troops to simply hold the front line, so that any counter attacks will be undermanned.
