SUDAN, POWER STRUGGLE OR COUP D'ÉTAT (The Duran)

Russia has been in negotiations to establish a naval base on the Red Sea. There are rumours the US and UK talked to the rebels before this coup attempt. Are the rumours true or is this simply a falling out with no outside influence?
