Putin’s SHAM Indictment For War Crimes (Jimmy Dore)

The International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued a warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s arrest on war crimes charges, specifically over the alleged forced relocation of children from the Donbas region to Russia. Neither Ukraine nor Russia — or the United States for that matter — are signatories to the ICC charter and do not recognize the court’s jurisdiction. In fact, the U.S. has repeatedly disparaged the court in the past if there was every any inkling that American soldiers could be charged with war crimes by the ICC.

Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss the farcical effort to label Putin a war criminal when American presidents who have committed far greater crimes have never faced a whiff of international accountability.



Good clip from Dore that reminds viewers that the US threatened the court if they ever tried to prosecute their people for war crimes. They passed an act called The Hague Invasion Act that authorised the use of military force to liberate any US citizen or soldier who might be arrested by the court (this was done by the Bush neocons)
