Near the end of his administration, Donald Trump issued an executive order that would provide government assistance to reduce the cost of insulin for low-income diabetics. Before the order could be implemented, Joe Biden took office and his administration delayed and eventually reversed the decision. And now, with the Inflation Reduction Act reducing the cost of insulin for diabetics on Medicare, the already sky-high insulin price paid by anyone NOT on Medicare will likely go up.
