The idea that society in the west is holding down people of colour or minorities is garbage. The proof of the meritocracy is right here. Yes, western nations have rich and poor but anyone can make it. Look at Kanye West, look at Barack Obama, look at Thomas Sowell the academic, look at all the sports starts. The only way people of any type fail is when they reject the overall society they live in rather than embrace it.
In comics, if heroic action stories sell then ANYONE who creates a decent action story, with good characters, and can market the product, can make money. It's that simple.
