They've Learned Nothing (Sargon)

Sargon raises an important point about this discussion, that Winston is talking about wealth creation whereas the leftist economist is talking about wealth redistribution. And calling for lower taxes doesn't make you a fascist. If rich people can avoid paying taxes because of how the system is set up then there should be a flat tax with no deductions, except for realised capital losses.  

The bottom line is that ordinary people should not be heavily taxed and the government should be small and keep out of the way, except to enforce laws against fraud, racketeering and corruption in general.
