The final reward for politicians who feed the bureaucrats lust of money and power? To be given a plum job in the very agencies they created, sustained, and expanded.

Ex-politicians take up a HUGE proportion of the board and leadership roles in publicly funded projects and bodies including Snowy Hydro, diplomatic positions, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, and many many more.

And I can't help but notice a pattern... a correlation between politicians who are loyal supporters of the Climate Grift, and the ones who get plum positions in the Climate boondoggle when their time in the 'big house' is done.

Add the number of politicians who go on to accept 'consulting' roles for companies they spent OUR money with while they were a government minister...? And what you've got is at least the appearance of a quid-pro-quo, politicians award contracts and grants and expanded powers and budgets while in government, receive board and consulting positions upon retirement.

And we're the ones paying ALL of the bills.

This is the final link in the do-dependent loop of money-for-power and power-for-money that I exposed in Episode 476, the Fabian Method. These post-politics rewards are the unspoken incentives for these people to play along, be 'team players', and keep the gravy trains rolling.

How do we stop it?

Well as always, it comes down to money.



A ten year ban must be imposed on those who have worked in Government from then operating in any business or industry group with which they've had contacts. This is to prevent the revolving door cronyism that sabotages good decision making. Industry lobbyists of all sorts must also be kept at arm's length, so they can be objectively evaluated, and real value-for-money competition allowed. These restrictions should be extended when it comes to working with foreign nations.
