Macgregor: Iran Exposes Critical Weakness in U.S. Defenses (Daniel Davis)

Colonel Macgregor talks about the limits of US military power pointing out that Middle Eastern military bases, and equipment in general, are vulnerable to missiles and drones. Attacking a continental power, with an industrial base, is not a small thing. The sort of fighting you can now expect is the industrial type conflict you see in the Russia-Ukraine war. Iran has shown that deep underground bases are the way to go, along with thousands of drones and missiles, plus targeting information from Russian satellites.  

The only viable option for the US when it comes to confronting Iran is to withdraw. Forward basing substantial amounts of equipment is a bad idea. We're now into the realm of what was expected during the Cold War, often seen in science fiction, of a bunker type missile war.
