ARGENTINA in Deep Trouble (Joe Blogs)

Argentina is back in the spotlight as Javier Milei faces growing pressure at home while dramatically escalating the country’s long-running dispute over the Falkland Islands.

In this video, I look at Argentina’s economy, inflation, Milei’s falling popularity, the new sanctions targeting companies involved in Falklands oil development, the huge Sea Lion oil project, and why Donald Trump’s comments have added a new dimension to the dispute.

Is this simply domestic politics and nationalism, or are we seeing the Falklands issue becoming much more serious again?

The Falkland Islanders don't want to be part of Argentina. That should be the end of the discussion. The UK could also back off when it comes to oil exploration, which has Israeli involvement. It would further help the UK if they improved their military presence on the Island. Apparently thousands of drones have been moved to the Island, some with a 1000 km range. This is a good start. More drones and more personnel are needed.
