Seyed M. Marandi: Plans for a U.S. Land Invasion of Iran; Yemen & Iran Enters the War? (Glenn Diesen)

Prof. Seyed Mohammad Marandi is a former advisor to Iran's nuclear negotiation team. Prof. Marandi discusses the plans for a U.S. land invasion of Iran, and how the participation of Yemen and Iraq in the war can change the character of the war.



Marandi points out that the central issue with the war is that there are going to be global oil shortages, and they'll get much worse as things escalate - especially with Yemen re-entering the conflict. A global economic catastrophe is on the way. Any continuation of the fighting, including with a ground invasion, will not resolve anything. Iran can destroy all critical infrastructure of their enemies in the region. The only solution is for the US to completely back off, and for the Israelis to withdraw from Lebanon.
