Aside from expanding into Lebanon the Israelis are also expanding further into Syria. War against Iran is set to resume. Expect the Iranians, at some point in the near future, to give the Israelis an ultimatum - to withdraw forces from Lebanon or be struck with drones and ballistic missiles.
A pending war against Turkey, and perhaps Egypt, is also on the cards. The fighting will not end until all rival nations to Israel are destroyed, or where the Israelis end up collapsing (economically).
If the Iranians want things to end they should put an ultimatum to the Israelis and then strike all the oil and power facilities in the region. The economic damage this causes will help put an end to this project as the global economy tanks. An Israel without power or water would lead to mass evacuations. No oil would cause the US economy to implode, as shortages drive up energy costs.
If Iran does nothing they will be subject to the long war that Syria endured.
