The war has exposed what's really going on with Israel. The Israelis are happy to see the rest of the world burn to serve their interests, where the rest of the world would rather not participate. The US could see that things were headed towards a disaster and thankfully pulled back. The big problem now is that the ceasefire will almost certainly unravel as the Israelis continue military operations in Lebanon.
