Australia faces an energy-scarce future (Leithvo)

This week's Treasury of Common Sense on Radio 2GB/4BC explained the energy catastrophe facing Australia.



Leith appearing on 2GB talking about how energy production in Australia isn't working out with the implementation of renewables ... To explain a bit more, during the day they produce a lot of power, but the stored power used at night comes at a premium ... to pay for the battery costs. There's also added costs to pay for the new transmission lines. All these companies are making a buck out of this, and it keeps prices high, and also with gas powered electricity - because gas is expensive due to artificial shortages. Australia used to have very cheap power in the past, but not anymore with the closing of the coal stations.

While Australia closes reliable coal power stations China builds more, and hides their real level of emissions - hiding the equivalent of what Germany produces every year.
