10GW Data Center Heat Island (Tony Heller)

Urban heat islands. Like other industrial sites the data centres will consume power, but they need a lot, and also water. Noise is also a factor. If they are to be built anywhere these things must me taken into consideration when it comes to the local population and economy. You cannot just plonk them into residential areas.
