This is a WAY bigger problem than most of us realise, even when we DO elect someone decent, with courage, willing to stand up for us... the system destroys them from the inside.

Council rules seem to operate like a little dictatorship when it comes to representatives freely speaking their minds. Local Government councillors, unlike Parliamentarians, don't have the right to say what they want.
