The Truth of the 1973 War Powers Act You Need to Know /Lt Col Daniel Davis




The President needs to either declare war, have statutory authorisation (set by Congress), or a national emergency created by an attack on the United State itself in order to wage war. The President needs to inform Congress, within 48 hours, of the details of any military operation short of a declaration of war, and then report back 60 days later. Due process has not been followed when it comes to the attack on Iran, which is an illegally conducted conflict - just as the various proxy wars against Syria and Ukraine have been illegal operations.
