I've been warning for years that we're on the 'road to Venezuela', now thanks to a new report from Adam Creighton, I have the numbers to prove it.



Venezuela is not a good comparison since they were also subject to US sanctions, but the point is taken that the Australian economy is going down hill. When it comes to disposable income, after you include housing costs that the Government excludes in its inflation figures, people have much less disposable income today than in the past. Real wages are struggling at the same levels as seen in the late 90s. The video opens with the fact the Government got an extra 30 billion in revenue and yet the country's debt levels still went up. The big problem is if interest rates go up. This will bankrupt the country, both Government and private citizens.

The three underlying things crushing the economy at present are high housing costs driven by mass migration, high energy costs due to the artificial gas shortage on the East Coast, and also NET ZERO policies in general, plus a tax system that rewards offshoring. All this can be changed by supporting non globalist parties at the next election or by lobbying the existing Government.

Currently a lot of workers on the left, particularly teachers, are protesting for higher wages, but they would not need the extra money if the causes of inflation were addressed. Individuals protesting can make a difference by telling the present Labor Government that they will vote for anti-globalist, anti-NET ZERO parties like One Nation in order to fix the cost of living crisis.
