This group voting system has been abused in the past, and now it's being openly trashed with these vote funnelling parties. What the activists want is for group voting to be abolished so that Victorian elections are conducted in the same way as Federal Elections, where you chose where your preferences go. As a footnote, the "I'm voting to avoid the fine party" should perhaps be called, "I'm only voting to avoid the fine party".
