Macgregor appears at the 35min mark. He guesses that the war was started because of Zionist donors to Trump that extracted a promise to attack Iran, and got it, with advisors pitching a quick regime change operation that failed. Macgegor points out that Turkey and Egypt are likely to enter the fighting if it continues - fighting that would include the destruction of the Gulf State countries, which is exactly what people like Netanyahu want.
However, Macgregor believes the US now genuinely wants the fighting to end. He points out that the ten point ceasefire plan looks like it's something the US created and was laundered through Pakistan. The Israelis don't appear to have been consulted and are against a pause in fighting in Lebanon and are therefore the catalyst for continued fighting - proving that the Israelis are driving the ship. Meanwhile China is lobbying Iran to also back down because they get a large portion of their oil from the Middle East. If things really do go badly, and oil production is destroyed in the region, China will suffer greatly, although they will receive a lot of help from Russia. US allies in Asia will likely suffer a lot more.
Additional thoughts: While the Israelis are driving the conflict against Iran it's been pointed out that a lot of recent US global actions seem centred around gaining control of the world oil market.
Venezuelan oil is now being processed in the US, and with war in Ukraine cutting off Russian supplies, the Europeans have been forced to turn to the US.
The last major source of oil comes from the Middle East. Having the Iranians impose a tax on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, or having the production facilities destroyed throughout the region, although disastrous for the global economy, benefits the US in the long run.
The big problem with the US strategy in Iran, aside from killing people, is that it risks a worldwide economic calamity with genuine shortages of oil, gas and fertilizer, plus financial chaos, that threatens the lives of millions. There's a lot of political push back against the US-Israeli aggression because of this outcome.
Originally, Trump may have been conned into thinking an attack on Iran would quickly lead to regime change, and because it didn't happen, became frustrated and unhinged. A relatively quick and clean operation is now turning into a quagmire, but one that will benefit US oil interests if it continues or worsens.
However, the final outcome is highly uncertain. Both Russia and China are likely to escalate their support for Iran, and Russia will likely seek a quicker end to the fighting in Ukraine - to stop strikes against their own oil facilities. An unburdened Russia, cooperating with China, will be a potent force on the world stage, even if the Middle East is in ruins and the US controls much of the global oil market.
We're experiencing a case of overlapping interests here; oil and global power, plus Israeli regional objectives - which is destroying all neighbouring countries.
