Due to the unpopular nature of the war all sorts of propaganda is being rolled out to justify it. A lot of people really believed, after Trump's first term, that they'd be no new wars, but now there's an avalanche of interventions including this disaster. Launching a war of aggression is a war crime - something Bush and Obama did, when you also include the proxy wars and drone strike campaigns.
