Israel AD Fails 80% Iran Missiles Hit Target; China: US Bombing Must Stop; UK Says Iran Moscow Proxy (Alexander Mercouris)

The attack on Iran seems like a road to ruin. Either Trump has been railroaded into playing a Middle East endgame, where the war will ramp up further, and is bound to fail (with Russia and China supporting Iran) or this conflict is being used for other purposes. What if the purpose is to cause a global economic disaster and to cause great splits when it comes to diplomatic relations? If this is the case, the US does not have to invade, only drag things out for a long time. This means what's happening will not be over, unless the US backs out. Presently Iran is refusing any deals, which are likely to be intentionally onerous ones. 

One possible off ramp to everything, assuming things at face value, as opposed to there being ulterior motives for the war, is if the Iranians were to make a deal to shut down all their nuclear research, but keep their ballistic missile arsenal. Would the US-Israelis agree to that? As it stands, things are set to get a lot worse in any event - debilitating attacks on oil and desalination infrastructure have yet to happen.
