In Iran's Eyes a Price Must Still Be Paid /Prof Mirandi & Lt Col Daniel Davis

The bottom line is that the Iranians have a lot more capability remaining and the longer things go the worse it will be for the global economy. This sort of pressure helps when it comes to finding a political off ramp, even if, at present, the Iranians are looking for retribution for all the damage they have taken - and even if what Trump said about positive negotiations isn't true.

In all likelihood things will probably get much worse, where millions really suffer, with oil and desalination plants destroyed, before the situation resolves. In such a circumstance a global financial crisis will also, probably, be on the cards.
