This is all about eliminating all possible threats to Israel looking into the future. Global threats include powerful Western Nations, countries that support ideas about universal human rights. It's the sort of thing that gets in the way when it comes to wiping out other people. At the same time, a lot of those being targeted in the ME, the Islamists, do not care about human rights when it comes to their perceived enemies.
