The problem with the intelligence agencies is that rather than advise the Government of the dangers of extremist groups they use them for political ends. They're also aware of human trafficking, drug running and engage in blackmail. They're very far out of control in terms of protecting the interests of ordinary people. They protect the interests of the powerful over that of the people at large.
