Dementia Now Hitting People In Their 30s & 40s! w/ Kim Bright (Jimmy Dore)

Emerging research suggests that Alzheimer’s symptoms can be transferred via gut bacteria, demonstrating the powerful gut–brain connection and the role of inflammation and oxidative stress in dementia. At the same time, however, early indications of dementia is now showing up in young people, some just in their 30s.

Guest Kim Bright explains to Jimmy how diet, antibiotics, and disruptions to the microbiome may increase risks for cognitive decline, obesity, and other chronic conditions. The conversation emphasizes fermented foods—especially kimchi—as a way to support gut health, reduce inflammation, and potentially improve cognitive function. The show also critiques conventional medical approaches for treating symptoms rather than root causes and promotes daily microbiome support as prevention
