Col Douglas Macgregor: This Time We're in A LOT of TROUBLE (Daniel Davis)
Col Douglas Macgregor argues that the U.S. has lost its fear of real war and is dangerously underestimating the consequences of its actions, particularly in Venezuela. They contend that removing top leaders did not produce real regime change, and that any serious attempt to reshape Venezuela would require a ground invasion—described as a costly, unwinnable “tar pit” that would change little while draining resources.
They are skeptical of claims that controlling Venezuelan oil would bring strategic or financial success, noting past failures in Iraq and Venezuela’s history of nationalization. The discussion suggests U.S. taxpayers would ultimately subsidize oil companies, with little chance of meaningful return and no concern for the Venezuelan population. Security risks are emphasized: Venezuela is large, heavily armed at the local level, and hostile terrain where infrastructure would be highly vulnerable to sabotage.
The conversation broadens to global consequences, warning that U.S. pressure could trigger wider conflict with powerful alliances it cannot defeat. Russia is highlighted as already framing U.S. actions as lawless aggression, with Russian leaders signaling readiness to respond. The speakers stress that Russia—depicted as more socially cohesive and capable of asymmetric retaliation—would not respond on U.S. terms, increasing the risk of escalation into a broader, unpredictable war.
By acting like a bandit nation the rest of the world should put up walls, with divisions that will split the BRICS countries, Europe and the USA, into separate blocs. This should end the globalist open borders system, where Europe and the USA are also likely to be at odds with each other over free speech and their mass migration policies. Whether this is intentional or not, the war drums being banged here will make global divisions more likely, which is needed to stop the globalist agenda.
Of course the big danger in all of this is the potential for more wars outside of Ukraine - such as one over Taiwan. However, it's because of the ongoing Ukraine war, and sanctions vs allies of Russia, plus US control of Venezuelan oil, that's causing the global divisions. The longer things play out, and as other major powers become become more hostile, the more likely the globalist system will fail.
What we are seeing is the neocon war agenda (trying push US-Israeli domination) that is undermining the globalists who benefit more from a stable global situation, where they can funnel people from the third world into the West. The sorts of divisions now being created will stop the transfer of people out of China and India. A follow up economic collapse in Europe will help stem the flow of non-Europeans into Europe as their welfare systems fail.
