Analysis from The Grey Zone. It's neocon regime change stuff (again!). Most of the US population is against this, along with a number of military lawyers. As things stand, every US president of the last few decades has been involved in illegal wars or military actions. If justice were blind all of them would be in prison right now, or at the end of a rope, along with those that facilitated the actions, including other politicians and pro-war media shills.
Additional comment: Although this is an outside possibility, an actual declaration of war (or something close to it) could enable legal domestic changes inside the US - to go after the existing criminal networks and impose military control over various corrupt agencies. The only way this could come about is if a separate thread has been created somewhere within the system, stacked with uncorrupted military and law enforcement types. But keeping it quiet would be difficult, if not impossible. So we are left with another parade of corruption, same as before. The difference today is there's a very large body of alt media that has pretty much taken over from the MSM, so none of this is getting a 'free pass'.
