Tanker attacks & Pirates of the Caribbean (TheDuran)

The justification of the attacks is supposed to be part of an anti-drug operation, but this seems false. It's more like a blockading action. It's certainly piracy. It's an act of war, but perhaps it's being used as an alternative to air strikes and invasion? Disruption in the oil markets can help drive up the price of oil and contribute to global inflationary pressures.
