The wasteful spending/theft is all done at taxpayer expense. Gov money is money taken from hardworking people and businesses and it's wasted by thoughtless, self serving parasites in many cases. The other thing Musk mentioned is that repayments on US debt is more than the entire military budget.

I worked for 30 years in City and state government and I was always a square peg in a round hole. The amount of waste and fraud is so staggering. Elon is correct. You can cut government in half and not lose a single bit of service. If we could truly run our government efficiently your taxes could easily be 90% less than what they are today. Let that sink in. You are paying the vast majority of your taxes to go to incompetent, corrupt, and lazy government employees.
