In this interview Jimmy speaks with Katie Pasitney, spokesperson and family member of the Universal Ostrich Farm in British Columbia, about the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) order to cull hundreds of the farm’s ostriches over avian flu concerns. Pasitney argues that none of the ostriches have tested positive or shown symptoms and claims the CFIA’s actions are excessive, politically motivated, and harmful to farmers’ rights.

She tells Jimmy the birds may hold valuable antibody research potential and criticizes the government for refusing offers from U.S. agencies to study them. The discussion expands into concerns about government overreach, lack of transparency, and the suppression of scientific discovery in favor of corporate or pharmaceutical interests.
