Did the Ancient Egyptians Inherit and Restore the Great Pyramid (History Drops)

Did the Ancient Egyptians Inherit and Restore the Great Pyramid? What was the true purpose of the great pyramid of Giza? Ben Van Kerkwyk along with Matt Beall, discuss the possibility that the ancient Egyptians did not have access yet to the Great Pyramid of Giza. This was later made possible by Caliphe Al-Ma'mun, who brutaly opened a tunnel through the solid limestone blocks composing the Pyramid face.

In the second half of the following clip a key point made is the use of iron in First Dynasty Egypt, which would greatly help in the construction of the pyramids. The big problem that needs to be overcome, in terms of dating the pyramid, is the reluctance to properly and openly test the Khufu cartouche, that appears to have been drawn at the time of construction(?)
