CIA’s HISTORY Of Smuggling Drugs Into U.S. From Venezuela! (Jimmy Dore)

Years ago 60 Minutes did an investigation showing that in the 1980s–90s, the CIA partnered with Venezuela’s National Guard to smuggle tons of Colombian cocaine into the United States under the guise of an “intelligence operation.” Former DEA head Robert Bonner and agent Annabelle Grim revealed that CIA officers approved shipments that ultimately ended up on U.S. streets, with profits benefiting the Colombian cartels. Despite evidence, no CIA officials were prosecuted—only minor internal discipline was reported, while some officers were promoted.

Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss how this shows U.S. intelligence agencies acted as major drug traffickers while publicly claiming to fight cartels, exposing the hypocrisy behind U.S. foreign and drug policy
.

Jimmy looks at a 60minutes investigation from a number of years ago. (Separately) Finance expert Catherine Austin Fitts has pointed out that the intelligence agencies, and big banks, are up to their eyeballs in drug smuggling. There's also the history of the Iran-Contra (CIA) scandal and their importation of drugs from Central America, from the 1980s. We can also consider the (post) Vietnam War heroin shipments coming in from the Golden Triangle, and CIA involvement in the French Connection affair where drugs were being imported into France from before the 1960s and into the 70s.

Presently the US is seeking conflict with Venezuela but not doing the same when it comes to Columbia or Mexico. The reason Venezuela is being targeted is likely for regime change so US corporations can get their hands on their oil.
