On Tuesday Israel bombed a peace negotiation meeting in Doha, Qatar, where Hamas leaders had reportedly gathered to discuss a Trump-proposed ceasefire. Jimmy argues this brazen strike undermines diplomacy and violates the ancient principle of protecting envoys.

Jimmy notes that the Hamas office in Qatar was originally established at the request of the U.S. to facilitate dialogue, not out of Qatar’s support for Hamas. He and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger compares the strike to past U.S. betrayals—such as with North Korea, Libya, and Iran —saying it teaches the world never to negotiate with America. He concludes that this damages U.S. credibility, makes future peace talks impossible, and cements the perception of the U.S. and Israel as lawless actors.
