What's happening here, with the Qatar strikes, is opening the door to a no rules future when it comes to conflict, with no diplomatic off ramps. The attacks indicate that the Israelis are prepared to go to war with every country in the Middle East which will lead to a coalition against them. It's something they've been aiming at for decades, where they expect the US to step in to finish the job (at great cost).
