Last day - thank you (Gerard Rennick)

Today is my last day as your Senator.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years - I appreciate it.

I entered politics to try and use the knowledge I had acquired throughout my career to reform our tax and monetary system. I believe Australia is being short changed of our enormous wealth.

Unfortunately my fellow politicians seemed to be unable to grasp the required reforms needed to turn Australia’s economy around.

This needs to change.

It goes without saying my term was side tracked by Covid and Climate Change in particular.

Unfortunately I could not get adequate compensation for those injured by the vaccine or those who lost employment from the mandates.

If my time as a Senator taught me anything it is that politics is a numbers game. It doesn’t matter how right you may think you are if you don’t have numbers you can’t get anything done.

Given the major parties are captured by vested interests it is vital a party free from these interests is created that listens and serves the people.

That is why I look forward to growing People First and collaborating with other minor parties to form a party that can eventually rival the majors.

The trend is your friend as they say and I believe Australians will continue to vote for minor parties that can present a professional and viable alternative to the majors.

I will continue to talk about that going forward but for now I just wanted to thank everyone who has supported me over the last six years.
