Australia is caught in a low-productivity trap (Leithvo)


In this interview with Mike Jeffreys at Radio 2GB/4BC, I explain why Australia's productivity growth and, ergo, living standards are in decline.



Australia deindustrialised through outsourcing and the recent rise of energy prices has closed down much of what was left. The influx of migrants has also led to more people working per dollar leading to less efficiency - known as capital shallowing.
