However, they may find that China will step in so that these plans of destabilisation ultimately fail, but not without causing massive damage. They already tried to undermine Russia through the war in Ukraine but it massively backfired. It's likely that these wider plans will also backfire. They may end up with conflict in Europe, and elsewhere, but in place of the elites being in power they may find themselves in prison.
