You don't have to agree with everything they say here, but the basic idea they outline seems to be correct - that a new 'great game' is being played.
In that region, China and India are rivals, with Pakistan being an ally of China, not just simply a rival of India. India also has close ties to the US, and Russia, with the US making deals to split them away from BRICS. The area is shaping up to be a real mess.
