Australia's economy is in managed decline (Leithvo)

In this interview with Luke Grant at Radio 2GB/4BC, I explain the causes of Australia's productivity decline and why the situation will worsen following the election.

The clip explores different productivity drags/costs that are DESTROYING the country. These include the accelerated shut down of uncompetitive (and unprotected) industry due to the high Australian dollar (from 15 years ago), the problems of high immigration vs infrastructure/inflation, the massive expansion of Government funded jobs (that tend to be highly inefficient and wasteful), high energy costs (electricity and gas) that's killing off business activity, and the pivot towards housing speculation rather than business when it comes to bank lending. A big problem post the 2025 election is that the high immigration is set to continue, that there will now be easier ways to boost mortgage lending (driving up prices), and a huge increase in energy prices that will further shut down businesses and impoverish home owners.
