The dire costs of Australia's energy policy idiocy (Leithvo)

This week's interview with Luke Grant at Radio 2GB/4BC discusses the enormous costs to the nation arising from Australia's failing energy policy.

A major glass manufacturer closes down due to high operating costs so that glass will need to be imported from China ... the same thing happened to the last plastics manufacturer. This is the road to ruin and it should not have happened.

We should have VERY LOW energy costs here in Australia but the fool/compromised/misinformed politicians made deals that led to this situation. It can be fixed, but we need cheap energy, which can be done by rewriting the gas deals that send almost everything offshore. New coal power stations would also drive down energy costs dramatically, like what they are building by the dozen in China.
