State sponsored history, the version touted in public schools, and preached over the mainstream media is the mythology of the state, and it is as essential to its existence as creation stories are to any religion.



Good short 6min clip from Storm Clouds Gathering about being able to objectively consider things in rejecting psychologically driven propaganda (that uses the logical fallacies of ad homs + appeals to authority etc), understanding your own biases about how things are (which may not be accurate), and standing up against the prevailing the political/societal zeitgeist (group think).
