‘What does it say about the state of Australia?’: Singer ‘cancelled’ after MAGA hat post (Sky News Australia)

Sky News host Liz Storer reacts to an Australian singer being cancelled for sharing a picture of herself in a MAGA hat.

Australian singer-songwriter Hayley Mary has been met with heavy backlash after posting an image of herself wearing a MAGA hat following Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.

Speaking afterwards, Ms Mary spoke about the government’s misinformation bill being ‘sneakily put through’.

“What does it say about the state of Australia that people were more concerned about her wearing a MAGA cap, not concerned about this dystopian bill,” Ms Storer told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“This was a sneaky rat move by the Albanese government and she gets punished for wearing a MAGA cap.”
