Victoria’s spiralling land tax will see the 'Labor government go down’ (SkyNewsAustralia)

Sky News contributor Joe Hildebrand discusses the "depressing effect" Victoria's land taxes are having.

Thousands of Victorians are refusing to pay the state's spiralling land tax bills.

“It is having a depressing effect overall on the Melbourne and Victoria property market,” Mr Hildebrand said.

“You will see the Labor government go down; I think, because of stuff like this.”



Land tax applies to holiday homes, rental properties and commercial sites. Many people, with not a lot of income from such investments will be taken out by this tax.
